Merjis, on behalf of Greys Education Centre, operates SubjectLink. Merjis is responsible for personal data collected on the web site. Merjis is registered with the data protection registrar as a processor of personal information.
Types of information collected
A permanent cookie may be issued to your browser. The cookie contains information about when your browser was first used to visit the web site. The cookie does not contain any other personal information. We will not attempt to tie a cookie to any specific individual or to try to infer details of an individual from site usage. Additionally, content editors and the administrators for the site may have personal information collected for the purposes of identification and authentication (logging in and password restoration).
We may use the collected information to improve the design and content of the site. Specifically, we intend to aggregate visitor data about the use of links to help us to improve link descriptions and to discover the most and least popular parts of the web site. We may use authentication and identification information provided to allow access to parts of the site; some parts of the site are under restricted access control.
We will not pass information, either for an individual or for aggregates of users to a third party, for any reason other than to directly improve the website. Any third party will be similarly required to avoid personal identification or the inferral of any information about visitors. There is no intention, at the time of writing, to allow any parties other than Greys, Merjis or Bedfordshire County Council to have access to any data other than anonymised aggregate usage data.
